Our Producers, Partners and Suppliers
Brown Rock Market Garden
Small but mighty, we grow all our vegetables by hand.
The garden is situated on the Tickenham ridge on the outskirts of Bristol, where we lovingly produce a wide array of vegetables and herbs using nature friendly farming techniques.
We believe that small scale local food systems are more resilient and can have a huge benefit on local wildlife as well as the surrounding community. At Brown Rock market garden we use no-dig farming practices that nurture the soil and protect our crops.
Producers of the finest quality traditional Somerset milk. We are passionate about our Somerset dairy farming industry and as a result of that we aim to produce the highest quality, locally farmed milk available on the market.
We process both organic and non-organic pasteurised, unhomogenised milk. All of our milk comes from local farms whom we know and personally trust. These farms all work to the highest standards including, most importantly, that of animal welfare.
Edible futures is an urban farm in Bristol that produces salad, herbs and vegetables for local markets. We distribute both through restaurants and through a community supported agriculture scheme called Salad Drop whereby members pay a subscription to get a freshly cut salad bag delivered off a local drop off point each week. Whilst we are as yet too small to afford ‘organic’ status, we grow on a human scale, using only natural inputs and maximize both productivity and biodiversity. Where possible deliveries are done using an electric cargo bike, that also brings food waste from restaurants back to our site composting. Edible Futures is a tiny part of a global movement that is transforming our food system from the bottom up, making it fair and making it sustainable. Edible Futures
