Hartcliffe and Windmill Hill City Farm

Hartcliffe City Farm is a 7 acre city farm on the south edge of Bristol.  On site, we have a small selection of farm animals, a wellbeing garden, community cooking space, a flower farm and a market garden. Since 2022 we have been working with volunteers to develop the market garden space, aiming to grow veg and herbs on a small scale, using wildlife -friendly and organic principles.

Windmill Hill City Farm is a 4 acre city farm in Bedminster. Our community gardens produce food for our café as well as some local businesses and over the last two years our staff team have also been working to develop the market gardens at Hartcliffe City Farm.

We are always looking for volunteers to join our garden teams at both sites! See website for more details.

Three Hares Market Garden

Three Hares Market Garden is an urban farm in Bristol that produces salad, herbs and vegetables for local markets. We distribute both through restaurants and through a community supported agriculture scheme called Salad Drop whereby members pay a subscription to get a freshly cut salad bag delivered off a local drop off point each week. Whilst we are as yet too small to afford ‘organic’ status, we grow on a human scale, using only natural inputs and maximize both productivity and biodiversity. Where possible deliveries are done using an electric cargo bike, that also brings food waste from restaurants back to our site composting. Three Hares Market Garden is a tiny part of a global movement that is transforming our food system from the bottom up, making it fair and making it sustainable. They are now certified organic by the Soil Association – Organic Certificate

With our roots firmly planted in the South West, we’re focussed on sourcing the best produce the local area has to offer, so that we can continue to meet the demands of today’s restaurants and their guests.

Our proximity to Bristol’s thriving food scene, coupled with our dedication to quality, has enabled us to become one of the most recognised butchery brands in the city.
