
Normandy Apple Tart
Normandy tart is a shortcrust pastry-based (pâte brisée) variant of the apple tart made in Normandy. It is also known in French as the Tarte Normande. A delicious desert for any occasion, try out the Kate’s Kitchen recipe at home…
For a 30cm tart tin follow these guidelines:
- Add 125g soften butter mixed with 125g sugar into a bowl
- then add 1 table spoon of flour and mix i
- then 1 whole egg, mix
- then 1 large table spoon of rum or brandy
- then 125g ground almond
The whole lot well mixed and spread on shortcrust pastry, 5-6 apples (depending on size) cut in half first and then each half sliced finely, and then fan on frangipane.
Cook around 40-45mn, gas 6, and glaze.
